Clipons project

Clipons project completed just in time for trackbike's trackday.

The idea is to convert the standard 06' tuono to an RSV.
Parts needed ar clipons, fork plates, polyester fairings and various fairing mount parts.







So there you have it my brand new tuono - RSV (or RSV - tuono, from the other side) is all set up and ready 2 go!

Extreme trackdays

And then I found Extreme trackdays. I signed in a two day event for 30/5 & 1/6 @ serres circuit.

Trackbike event

Did some browsing and stumbled upon this guys they're a cooperation of anemosclub bikenet & ebike for the purpose of organizing three track days a year. Spring, Summer and Autumn events are available for anyone to register at the price of 160€ per driver.
I registered for 17 & 18 of May, pretty well organized there was an option for accommodation and special tire prices, 30% off retail.

California Superbike Shool

So it turns out that California Superbike Shool of Keith Kode runs a department here in Greece, so I booked for Level I on 2008 April 12.
It was a ten hour class of theory-practice-koffe brake at Megara circuit. Too bad my tires where dead.

This years Daytona Usa 300 has been completed.
Guess what bikes got first and third place....

1st Place : Official Aprilia Team

Carbon project complete

So, after five and a half months, one canceled order, six different ones and approx 2k € every available carbon upgrade for the tuono 06' model is in place! What a sight...

Carbon/Fiber

Well, one month after the original order the only parts delivered so far is what you see here. Parts missing are:front mud guard, left-right air flow guides, oil tank cover, left-right underseat panels, front sprocket cover and chain guards.

From my recent visit to Oropos Attica.
There was a big cloud covering the whole mountain, visibility was limited to somewhere between 10-15m.

Carbon/Fiber Project

The "Carbon / Fiber" project is a "wild & lightend" sub project witch I have been working on and includes the replacement of many of the bikes plastic parts with carbon/fibre ones. It will cost me about 1100€ and the parts replaced will be among others front-rear mud guards left-right air flow guides, radiator tank cover, oil tank cover, back seat cover,left-right underseat panels, heel guards, front sprocket cover and chain guards. All that will have a weight reduction impact of about 3-4kg. Photos of the finished project will be available in about fifteen days or so.

Detail from the tuono factory edition. You can see several plastic parts replaced with lighter carbon - fibre ones, to name a few: front and rear mudguards, spoiler and side mini fairings. The rear dumper, fork and steering dumper have also been replaced with ohlins fully adjustable ones.
